Abstract: Madaotou coal mine is replacing mine of resource depletion in Datong Coal Mine Group Co.Ltd. It is mining C3-5 combined coal seam of the main quarry carbon system, because the roof coal thickness is thick at the belt crossheading in the working.face of gateway,boom-type road-header can not meet the basic requirements of efficiency in construction technology and support parameters. In order to increase the speed of gateway of large section in extremely thick coal seam and make sure the quality of roadway, MB670 intellectualized driving and anchor machine is used for tunneling instead of the boom-type road-header. According to the project that the combined supporting of bolt-mesh- anchor+ steel belt was put forward, and support design and Construction Technology of belt roadway of 2404 working face were optimized, the results showed roof convergence was 45mm and both shrinkage was 47mm after optimizing, the support rate was increased obviously and the cost of support material was reduced evidently, not only was implemented the safe, fast and economic tunneling, but also provided the experiences and references for safe and fast tunneling in similar coal mines.
